Barley Hill Primary School Geography Intent

At Barley Hill Primary School, our Geography Curriculum aims to inspire all pupils to learn about the world around them and help them to become respectful and responsible citizens.

The aims for the Geography National Curriculum are taught through engaging lessons, where children are encouraged to take risks as learners and develop their resilience and independence. First hand experiences are used, where possible, so children are excited and retain and remember the key skills being taught.

Through our carefully planned Geography Curriculum, skills are built upon each year, enabling children to leave Barley Hill Primary School with the knowledge outlined in the National Curriculum.
