Digital Leaders 2025 - 2026
The Digital Leaders are a dedicated group of Year 5 and Year 6 children, who play a vital role in enhancing the delivery of the computing curriculum at Barley Hill. Their responsibilities include:
'
- To support teachers and their peers in navigating the exciting world of computing.
- To ensure laptops are charged at the end of the week.
- To support younger children computing lessons.
- To run special events and computing clubs.
- To collect pupil feedback on the Online Safety curriculum.
To stay at the forefront of digital technology, our Digital Leaders meet every other week. During these sessions, they delve deeper into various tools and resources, including Purple Mash, Microbits and Crumble kits. This equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to empower their peers and teachers to embrace technology confidently.

The Digital Leaders support younger children with the login process -so everyone can get online quickly and focus on what really matters: learning.
Our Digital Leaders encourage independence while offering friendly guidance and support, helping children build confidence as they learn essential computing skills.
Our Digital Leaders also have a lot of fun developing their own skills. In September and October , they took part in Meet and Code workshops, exploring the Crumble Kits while strengthening their computing knowledge and confidence.
