Admissions to Reception September 2026
If your child was born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022 and will be starting in Foundation Year in September 2026, your application for a place will need to be submitted to Oxfordshire County Council no later than the 15th January 2026 at OCC Primary School Admissions
If you miss this date you will go into the late round of allocations which are not made until after May 2026 Please contact Admissions at Oxfordshire County Council on 0345 2412487.
If you send anything to the council, we advise you to send it recorded delivery.
Key dates
- 4 November 2025 - parents can start to apply.
- 15 January 2026 - closing date for applications.
- 16 April 2026 - National offer day: offer letters sent by second-class post where needed and emails sent to those that applied online.
- 30 April 2026 - closing date to to respond to offers made on 16 April and to join waiting list.
- September 2026 - start of the school year.
National Offer Day
Everyone who applies online by 15 January 2026 will receive an email in April 2026 advising which school their child has been offered a place at.
Important things to remember when applying
- Apply on time, i.e. no later than 15 January 2026.
- It is the responsibility of parents/carers to apply for a school place.
- You can list three different schools in order of preference. We strongly advise you to use all three preferences.
- We advise you to enter your catchment (or designated area) school as one of your preferences.
- If your application is late, it will be processed later in the year, and you are far less likely to get a place at one of your preferred schools.
- If you send anything to the council, we advise you to send it recorded delivery.

- 31 October 2025 - closing date for applications.
- 2 March 2026 – National offer day: look online, receive email, letters sent by second-class post where needed.
- 16 March 2026 - closing date to respond to offer, to join waiting list or to submit a late application.
- September 2026 – start of the school year.
